My Cats
Cats, cats,
I love kitty cats,
They're cosy,
They're cuddly,
They're cute,
You just have to face facts.
Ten I have
Each one unique,
You just melt as they look at you
Before they even speak.
Firstly there's May
She's eight years old,
Though she can be fussy
She has a heart of gold,
She really is the most perfect dream,
With eyes a dazzling emerald green,
She's most definitely
A gorgeous ginger-and-white queen,
And the others know she's top cat
The best you've ever seen.
Then there's the threesome,
The three musketeers
Dweezil, Runty and Tiger
The sweet little dears.
Black and white Dweez
I love to tease
She's so laid-back and lovely
At perfect ease,
But a killing machine
Lean and clean,
Mice, voles, birds, shrews, rats,
You name it,
She's caught it,
But even so, a gentle tempered cat.
Runty, skitzy tabby Runty,
Small, slim and slight,
Is like a dinky doll,
So pointy and sharp,
When she runs round your legs
You certainly get a fright,
Especially if it's in
The middle of the night.
Though she's like a little princess
Dancing daintily on her toes
With a cute and furry
Diddy nose.
Now for Tiger,
Tabby Tiggy,
He's a real hider,
The biggest of the three,
So affectionate and twee,
He'll sit on your knee
And, so long as you don't move,
Stay there for eternity.
He's so funny
You just want to give him a hug,
He's big, but
He's definitely no thug.
There's also Felix
She's part of that three
Though she escaped and had five kittens
As you will see.
Little Fudge
A brown and black ball,
You can pick him up and make him Lion King
Though he has the squeakiest meow call.
Golly, a tom,
A completely black cat,
Always looks as if he's had a fright
And comes at you for fuss with a shadowy attack.
Splats, a bubbly boy
With grey and white splotches over he
Loves to chew your fingers
And have them for tea.
Wombat, Smoky,
A tiny grey bundle of fluff
Always cocks her head to one side
And struts her mini stuff.
Finally there's Annice,
Who is a very pretty silver tabby boy,
I wonder if you can get gay cats?
He's always purring for joy.
Those are my fantastic cats,
My beautiful individual kitties,
I wouldn't swap them for anything in the world,
I just love my little pussies!

Thank you, I'm glad you think so! ♥
This a purrrfect poem!
I'm a cat lover, and enjoyed reading about your kitties. I have only four but I just took in a new kitten called Smokey!
☺ ☺
Thank you, I think four is a more sensible number than 10, but there you go-may your little kitten be happy in their new home ♥
