In Spring
The sky so blue,
The grass so green,
The sun so yellow
The clouds so clean.
The fox so red,
The campions so pink,
When you see all this
You just want to stop and think.
The bee's buzz,
The wet dew,
The multi-coloured rainbow
Every day looks brand new.
The bluebell's scent,
The nettle's sting
It all means
Something.
The leaves startling colours of green,
No paint mixture would be the same.
The pheasant pecking in a hedge for food
You can just see him, through the drizzling rain.
All the colours of the countryside blend together;
It is such a memorable sight,
And whatever the weather
It always looks right.
From the patchwork fields,
To the sweet birds call,
To the air so pure
And the grand oak tree, standing so tall.
The waterfall so majestic,
The pond so full of reeds,
The flowers so pretty
That were once just tiny seeds.
Honeysuckle shines out with its scent,
Swans gliding through water are graceful to see,
Frog spawn is like jelly to touch
Ducklings trying to swim behind their mother look funny.
A field of poppies waving in the wind
Like they are saying hello
Is so quirky that you want to stay,
And never go.
You just want to watch these things
And let time pass you by,
You just want to soar with the wind
And travel throughout the sky.
Just remember every single detail,
And every single thing
About that wonderful, unforgettable day
In spring.

Thank you
Thanks Linda, I wrote this last year in spring, when I needed to write something to take my mind off things, so I just wrote everything as I saw it. I'm really glad you like it ♥
