How I See The World
A river paved,
For you to follow,
A place of dreams,
Remember there's always tomorrow,
A tiny seed pod,
From the spindle tree,
Pink on the outside
But bright orange inside
For you to see,
Catkins coming
Around Christmas time
Like little lamb's tails
Full of pollen the colour of lime,
A curling leaf,
Yellow, but turning brown,
Look underneath
There you will see it's crown,
Hedgehogs waddling
Making their nest,
Getting ready for
Their long winter rest,
The sky turning dusky
Then rapidly dark,
As black as can be
While the stars shine a constant spark,
See the spider's web
With it's raindrop halo,
Then when there's a frost
It will turn white and glittery
The time when the wet goes,
The sun setting
Rippling across the horizon,
Edging all around with a border of gold
Until it's gone,
Birds gathering twigs
To make a warm home,
Hoping they'll survive winter
Not being alone.
Bare trees
Just naked branches
Bearing no more leaves,
It's clothes blown away, like mini colourful avalanches,
This is the way
I see the world,
I know I'm just
An ordinary girl,
But you've just got to look
For the bright side,
Look at the world with
Optimistic, real eyes,
Not cloaked in an
Unrealistic disguise,
But just simple,
Beautiful,
And mesmerizing as it is,
For all
And ever more,
We're just creatures
Standing small,
There were things here
Before us all,
So love life,
Love the earth,
Love everything around you,
Peaceful,
Hopeful,
For as long as it's ever worth.

is good. Sending a great message in this one. I enjoyed reading it, loved the images. raskin
Thank you
raskin, I had the idea in my head that if you were blind you wouldn't be able to see at all, but you could still read and imagine, which is what I was hoping my poem would create-images. Thank you for commenting ♥
