An Autumn Day
Fallen leaves carving
A path on the ground,
As between the trees
Sunshine dapples and glows.
The wind blowing gusts
In my face,
Warm air making
The branches sway,
Half covered and coloured
In russets and golds
Though still the tree is also dressed
In leaves as green as spring
The last ones to fall,
Inhaling the air
Watching it freeze,
Scenting the fruitfulness
And smiling, the undergrowth crunching
Beneath my feet
As I walk on through
Enjoying this beautiful autumn day.

Thank you so much Willow, I went for a walk and I just felt so peaceful, everything seems simple when there's no one else around ♥

The palette you use to paint your poem with has tremendous diversity and depth. Truly a vivid description of the fine Autumn Day.

Thank you Dave
I wish I had asked you! There's a beautiful wood near where I am, and the beech and oak trees are so magical to see at this time of year that I always have to go for a walk there ♥
