Made to Fly

I once knew an angel
Who frolicked and played
Dancing in sunlight,
All of her days.
Till one night a storm
Blew her out of the sky.
Damaged her wings,
She could no longer fly.
Life as she knew it,
Existed no more.
The weight of her loss
Pinned her feet to the floor.
Remember, sweet child,
It was God who made you.
And what has been broken,
He'll restore it anew.
So, lift up your head
To the expanse of the sky.
Continue your journey,
Fly, angel, fly!

Upbeat and wonderful to

Upbeat and wonderful to read, as if this poem was meant to be ♥

Thanks!!

Thank you for your positive comment. I am glad you enjoyed it! I wrote this poem about my 12 y/o daughter whose father signed off custody on Easter weekend '08. (Just wanted you to know why this poem is so dear to my heart.)

My pleasure

You could sense something like that through the poem, but as long as your daughter has you I'm sure she'll always have love ♥
