MIRACLES
The Savior walked on water
The Savior raised the dead
The Savior healed the blind and lame
And then the Savior said
That those who would believe in Him
Could do such things and more
So all my life I’ve wondered
What He meant when He implored
To follow in His footsteps
And do the things He did
Yet I have not done anything
To measure to this bid
And so I sit and ask myself
Where have I gone astray
Should I take His words literally
Or interpret them some other way
Perhaps I merely lack in faith
And the problem lies with me
Yet my faith in him…absolute
So it seems this cannot be
And also, as far as I’ve seen
Many others whom I’ve known
Have faith in him, unshakable
Yet no miracles are shown
So what then shall I make of this
Why do I see no signs
As always comes the answer slow
Distilling in my mind
“The scripture means just what it says
So the answer to your ‘Why’
None ever worked a miracle who
Did not first believe…then try”

good write about "the assured expectation of things to come though not yet beheld"
I have on my wrist a bracelet with the word "FAITH" on it. My higher power whom I choose to call God hears from me every morning and night. I have faith that he hears me and is there to help me. Seeing in this case is not believing. Miracles like that you speak of were the benifit of those who they were watching "at that time".
Today those acts are not going to be performed for since they are not what is needed. Mirqcles come and happen, we have to have the "eyes of faith" to be able to see them and know they happen.
"Keep asking, and it will be given to you. Keep searching, and you will find. Keep knocking, and the door will be opened for you."
Matthew 7:7
