Can’t seem to shake this sadness
It’s swirling all around
Sometimes it feels like madness
Like I’m sure I’m gonna drown

The seas of unforgiveness
Can’t seem to navigate
Or is it a soul sickness
Callous ones have raped

Can’t see the damage done

All they care about is them
And what will make them whole

They stomp on you to get there

Lord I do forgive them
But still there’s left within

Reach out Your healing hand to me
In Your loving tender way
You are not at all like them
Though Your name is what they claim

Help me find the stepping stones
That you want me to take
To walk across this deep abyss
And free my soul again

You are love so purely true
How did I get messed up
And put my eyes on someone else
When You are my only love

Restore me to that place again
Where You and I can dwell
Safely in the place of love
Away from this life’s hell
