Times About Up
When wrestling with the future
And knowing it will bring
Very hard and wondrous times
Not sure which way to sing
I could sing a love song
To the One I love so dear
Or I could sing the blues
For what is drawing near
My heart is filled with so much love
It’s hard to comprehend
Knowing what God offers
And the hearts that will not bend
I know that we have choices
Which camp to follow in
I know who leads them both
I’ve known the liars den
I’ve danced with the devil
And seen the Savior’s grace
And measured where I want to be
Which future I will face
I found the one a liar
The other great and true
Funny how the world will twist
The character of the two
But I have seen magicians tricks
And flourishes they use
One hand says to look this way
While the other lights a fuse
I guess that’s why my heart it breaks
Because of this I know
How sweet is Jesus saving grace
I wish that I could show
How wondrous His love is
How just and true and good
Even if we don’t understand
By love He shed His blood
Who else would lay down their life
For someone just like you
Not caring what your past has been
And knowing all of you
This age is drawing to a close
And soon our time will end
I pray and hope that you will know
And give your heart to Him

beautiful!
I like the spirituality in this one, the reflection of both sides of the coin. This is a well balanced, beautiful piece of writing! ~Ron
