Lift Me Higher
Oh Lord, Your thoughts are higher than mine
How easy it is
To not know that we’re blind
Not even seeing the clouds in our eyes
Thinking it’s daytime
When it’s night in the skies
Humbly I bow down, my Lord, at your feet
Knowing the goodness of Love is so sweet
Pour onto me the oil of Your joy
Lift me up higher
Your glory deploy
Without You, Lord
Nothing we’d be
But with You inside
There’s much hope for me
Your beauty is so very hard to express
The lovingkindness You give
Expresses it best
Strength to the weak
Grace to the strong
Which ever we are
To You we belong
Never rejecting
One single soul
That cries out in anguish
Lord, make me whole
Your justice so sweet
Oh Lord you’re so fair
It will all make sense
When we see from the air
Daily I fall more in love with Thee
As you drench me in kindness
Unworthy I be
But You paid a great price
To set Your child free
Though they try
No one can take that from me

Jean,
A very loving, peaceful poem. It has a nice flow, and it soothed my spirit this evening. Thank you!
Warm regards,
Kathy
