As Was Expected...
Gravel grounds catch your stumbling feet,
Appeasng gravity's great demands
As your foolish, filthy face
Falls pathetically into your hands,
And the air is strongly familiar
to the skin of your fatigued carrier
Yet, the past, nor present, nor future
seems capable of presenting a single barrier.
Forgotten now is
what once was remembered.
You, first pleasently dispositioned,
now suddenly distempered.
But, I change, too
with passing days,
For I see now the bottle
has finally caused you craze.

Very vivid write and I know what you mean. Just gotta take it in moderation. When you don't, or can't, it's not a good thing at all...
Nice first effort
Hi Jayne,
Nice first effort. So good to see you here.
I liked gravel grounds for its sonic impact. It is a crunching coupling of words. As this appears to be a first draft I am anxious to see it in revised form. Your title is also compelling. Thanks for the read.
