Sunshine State

There's a place
in the sunshine state
that sits upon the sand
and I am there
sitting under the palms
looking out to the Gulf of Mexico
I watch
all the pretty sights walking by as
the waves come rolling in
At this bar
I hear a sailor say to a girl
your eyes can steal me away from the sea
there's a gentle breeze
that comes and goes as it please
people from all around
come to this tiny town on the sea
we pass the time away
talkin bout our homes
and drink another round on me
and there's a girl
born from this town
workin layin whiskey down
They say baby,
Sling another round
she serves them up a good time
Oh we talked, laughed and danced
the night away
the moonlight bounced off the raging sea
Two lovers in the sand making love endlessly
we spent the night away till morning light
we got up and jumped in the sea
there's a place in the sunshine state
where I sit in the morning sun
watching the ocean waves come in from the Gulf of Mexico,
I hope to see you there, I gotta go~
