Summer Sun
It's back, the sun reared up it's ugly mug,
I'm glad, to think of grass, layed out on.
The park, a tempting Siren, pushing me
unto to its guilty laze, bringing me forth
with Brecht and wine, not to forget Saint tobacco,
lest me forget that supple ill,
the spot is taken, half fufilled, I drop,
gangly, gulping from tasty, bloody milk.
I drift to sounds, for never is there silence,
I hear the soul beating, swelling with the
river's call, decked out layed, dreaming,
deafening myself with dapple,
dervishing thought, inhaling praising Raleigh,
slobbering over the early psalms of Brecht.
I am content. Oh indeed I am content.
Almost now I am fulfilled.
But grunting guilt, bites me right about the ass, emptying my
Merlot, of Chilean descent, I seek to stoat back,
I feel a little lost knowing you're stuck in that
place, that work. But you gotta feed
the monkey, and tomorow I shall too.
Yes I do believe tomorrow, that I shall have to too.

sounds like a fun day
You've got to enjoy the sun while you can up there in Scotland... It's rather elusive. And I like your clever description of being out enjoying it. Ever been to Queen's Park in Glasgow? On a rare sunny day there, it's like a beach... Girls out in bikinis, people drinking, eating ice cream. Quite a lovely time. Your poem kinda brought me back to some of those moments. Thanks for sharing it here.
Oh,
it was a fun day. Am glad it sparked up that imagery for you. Not often we get the sun here! Haven't been to the park in question although have been to Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow a few times. Cool. Thanks for the comment!
Little taste
Thanks for sharing this beautiful snippet of heaven and mild lament that heaven is just a place to visit instead of stay.
Not only was the imagery exquisitely sensual, but the rythm conveyed an urgency, frantic clutching and clawing at the precious lazy luxury lest it slip away. Loved it!
Re: Little taste
Thanks so much, I think I lack a lot of confidence in my writing, but such kind and thoughtful comments, give me a geat sense of encouragement. Totally appreciated.
Take cares,
Kris
