Summer Rain

sweet walkway of park and urban tundra,
whisk me like a dough, to seek out,
wisdom, the manrta in the dock,
fall on me rain, for i have folly,
dig into my soul, as you have dug before,
tell me of the what ifs and whys,
of soft silken lies, sweet nothing, no surprise.

i spy a new pathway, where a nomad may roam,
not too close to home, but far enough to let go,
may i breathe in your good health and nature,
like a vacuum cleaner bursting, left on the nod,
too hot to trot, then i see the place you left me,
standing welled up skyscraping my tears, off the ground,
heart pound, at that fountain, where i overspilled my love.

cleanse me, free me, lukewarm so close,
how i love, your senses, pensive, saturating,
my doomed black of an awkward heart,
gone now,i'll never walk you back to my nest,
but i have this summer rain, long let summer reign,
taste the smell you bring, seeping into my pores,
like weird wise prose, au revoir tristesse,
i lack braveness, but may this route of pleasure/pain,
soak up my complaint and urge me to be stronger.
