My body is but a shield, full of instincts and intuition

I finally realized it on our wedding day, almost one year ago.
I saw how you always smiled; you had this special glow,
That day I knew my life would never be the same
The day I let my go of my parents hands and took your last name.
I am now a wife, someday a mother.
Never will I love or cherish any other
In the same way that I love this man
I think that I’ve now become his biggest fan
I’ve seen him at his worse and at his best
But all I know is that, no matter what, I’m so very blessed.
To be able to hold his hand and kiss his lips everyday,
And I will always make sure he is safe, secure and loved in every way.
I love him and I always will make sure he knows that
