Miyuki:....Okay…I don’t understand…who was she? And why did she call you Hunnie and Sweetie? I thought I was your girlfriend, Hiyo? I mean…what the hell is going on here?

Hiyoshi: Look, Miyuki…after all these years that we have been separated, after sixth grade, I just decided to give up on the relationship. I mean, … there is no sense in continuing a relationship if you don’t see or talk to each other, after soooooo many years. You understand, right?

Miyuki: (disappointed) Yeah, I guess...but you could have let me know somehow, in you weren’t interested in continuing the relationship.

(Miyuki begins to cry, as she gets up on her feet and looks at Hiyoshi.)

Hiyoshi: Don’t cry, Miyu, please? It’s just that…I was waiting on you as well, after I transferred into Hishimori Middle School, from Hatoya Junior High School. I waited for you to call me, but you never did.

Miyuki: (begins to sit in the booth, next to Hiyoshi) I’m sorry that I had assumed such a thing…

Hiyoshi: It’s ok. It was an honest mistake…come here…

(Hiyoshi opens his arms)

(Miyuki lays into Hiyoshi’s arms and starts to hug him tightly.)

Hiyoshi: It’s okay, Miya. It’s all straightened out now.

Miyuki: Okay, Hiyo…b-but you still care about me,…right, Hiyo?

Hiyoshi: Of course!

Miyuki: (looking up into his eyes)…okay.

(Miyuki looks at the entrance.)

(Hiyoshi notices)
Hiyoshi: We should get going. It’s getting late.

Miyuki: Okay…but what about Kiara? Do you think we can still catch up to her?

Hiyoshi: (looking troubled) I guess we can try. But who knows where she might be?

Miyuki: It wouldn’t hurt to try.

(Hiyoshi and Miyuki head out of the entrance, toward the parking lot.)

(KIara appears to be at her car, but for some reason is getting out of the car.)

(Hiyoshi spots Kiara from across the parking lot.)

Hiyoshi: Kiara!!!

(Kiara looks around to see who was calling her name.)

(Kiara spots Hiyoshi.)

Kiara: (annoyed) …what? I wasn’t coming back for you. I was coming back to pay my bill for the food.

(Hiyoshi and Miyuki start to run towards Kiara. After a few minutes, they arrive at Kiara’s car.)

Miyuki: Look…it was all a misunderstanding.

Kiara: I don’t want to hear it from you! Or anything for that matter!

Hiyoshi: Just give her a chance to speak.

Kiara: After what she said earlier?! AS IF!

Hiyoshi: (sighing, then looking into her eyes in a calm, yet warming way.) Do it, for me, please…

Miyuki: Please?

Kiara: (annoyed) And why should I>

Hiyoshi: Because I still love you…and I need you in my life. Please, hear us out? Please?

Kiara: (shocked) But, I thought you—

Miyuki:–that he was my boyfriend?
Kiara: (taken by surprise)…yeah…

Miyuki: That’s what I thought, too. That is, until he explained to me about what had happened between Hiyo and I…

Kiara: Wait…what do you mean?

(Miyuki and Hiyoshi explain the whole story to Kiara.)

Kiara: So that means that...

Miyuki: …Hiyo still has feelings for you. Nothing has changed about the way he feels about you.

Kiara: Is that true, Hiyo?

(Hiyoshi nods)

HIyoshi: I still love you, and I always will.

Kiara: (feeling relieved) Oh, Hiyo…

Hiyoshi: Kiara…

(Kiara walks over to Hiyoshi and hugs him softly, while leaning her head into his chest.)

KiaraL I’m sorry, Hiyo…I should have given you a chance to speak earlier. But instead, I acted cold towards you.

Hiyoshi: It’s okay now. As long as I have you, here with me.

(Kiara looks up at Hiyoshi, as she leans in to kiss him.)

(Miyuki looks downward and closes her eyes, as she begins to shed a few tears.)

(After Hiyoshi and Kiara kiss, Kiara looks at Miyuki and notices that she is crying.)

(Kiara walks over to Miyuki.)

Kiara: (holding Miyuki’s shoulders softly) Miyu, what’s wrong?

Miyuki: (Looking up at Kiara, in tears) …I-it’s just that…what me and Hiyo had in the past, …it’s just so hard to accept what is happening now…

Kiara: Miyu…(Kiara pulls Miyuki into her arms and hugs her and places her hand on the back of Miyuki’s head, massaging it.)

Hiyoshi: I have an idea…

Miyuki: (Looking up at Hiyoshi, over Kiara’s left shoulder)…What?

Hiyoshi: Why don’t you and Kiara come over to my house. I don’t want to leave you in this state of mind. Not alone.

Kiara: (Looking puzzled) A-are you sure that is okay? With her, I mean.

Miyuki: It’s fine with me, as long as it is okay with you Kiara…

Kiara: I don’t see any problem with it. I trust you now, after all.

(Kiara lets go of Miyuki)

Hiyoshi: (saying happily) Okay. Why don’t you two follow me to my apartment. Is that okay?

Kiara and Miyuki: Sure
