[After leaving the room, Hiyoshi is taken back to a vacant jail cell, where he is kept until further notice.]

[Back in the lobby]

Officer: Ms. Okonè.

Kiara: Yes, sir?

Officer: I need for you to come with me.

Kiara: Yes, sir.

(The officer escorts Kiara to the back of the police department; to the cell where Hiyoshi is being held.)

(Hiyoshi notices Kiara walking by.)

Hiyoshi: Kiara!

Kiara: Hiyo!

Officer: Listen up. Both of you. On the way, I stopped by the sheriff’s office. We have come to a decision.

Hiyoshi: And?

Officer: Hiyoshi will have to be held here for 2 months, and serve 40 hours of community service.

Hiyoshi: (Sighing) Okay…

Officer: It’s better than what we usually give murder suspects, by a long shot. The fact that you helped us take down an alleged criminal brought you a lighter sentence.

Hiyoshi and Kiara: Yes, sir.

(After 2 months of serving time, Hiyoshi heads home to his apartment.)

(Hiyoshi opens the door and sees Kiara sitting on the couch, across the room.)

Kiara: Hiyo! I am so glad you are home!

Hiyoshi: Yeah, but why are you here? I mean, at my house.

Kiara: They were going to foreclose your house, since you were in jail. And I decided to buy it from you, so that we could share it together.

Hiyoshi: Oh…But what about Miyuki?

(Miyuki walks out of the kitchen, off to the side)

Miyuki: Right here, Hiyo.

Hiyoshi: So, everyone is here, huh?

Kiara: Looks like it. Welcome home, baby!

[After Hiyoshi is reunited with his group, they all settle down in the apartment, as a sort of “Family”. After a few months, Kiara becomes pregnant. And nine months later, Hikaru, a beautiful baby boy, is born.]
