A 'Musing Romp

A free for all from heaven's cast,
A battle-royal to the last,
As clangs and cackles echo past
I cast my eyes about.

Haephestus lies upon the floor,
His hammer less than that of Thor,
To forge for others nevermore
Our first concluded bout.

Zeus, distracted like a schmuck
By such as swan, falls thunderstruck,
When Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck
Tag team to take him out.

The Queen of Hearts and Ripper, Jack
Cannot refrain from wising crack
When Cupid clotheslines Luna's back
And flops her like a trout.

I cannot feign to be annoyed
To see Mom tackle Sigmund Freud
Somehow, my conscience this employed,
Of this I have no doubt.

The final straw that breaks my heart
Is watching Venus blown apart
By Paul the Bunyan's mighty fart
He fueled by drinking stout.

I turn, distraught by devastation,
Pining, "you, my inspiration
Come to this? My resignation
Now is yours to flout."

very funny

gave me a laugh, I enjoyed. Thanks for sharing this. raskin
