caught amidst a tempest, drowning
pouring, bouncing- thoughts- back,
forth, forgotten; forlorn- memories
lost, ‘lore’ untold, torn apart
by the storm- thoughts swirling,
tornadic; swindling, robbing you
of your senses: consciousness degraded
as you debate inwardly, testing
theories toward oblivion inside
deciding not to be sensible about
abandoning thoughts for action-
reacting (finally) consciously, collected
open, streaming- live wire
winding your way onward through
the treacherous stream, thrown
for a loop by gravity- gripping
tightly, tearfully- holding on
helplessly to everything- loved,
left, lost- everything except
endless Eternity- momentary
Existence- monumental progress
pouring out forever less suitable
psychoses and obsessions- operating
freely following the flow- receiving
the signals ‘religiously’- repeatedly
guided politely past all you’ve
missed, around all you have,
herded homeward to the moment
forgiving, forgetting, forging on
ahead. alive. awakened. consciously-
streaming, live.
