I can’t die fast enough
These words pour out of my heart like blood does from a wound
I can’t control it, no matter how much I try to close the hole
I only pray that there is still some left when the bleeding stops
Perhaps that day will come this lifetime, perhaps never
I cannot understand how you have become with me
I cannot understand the words that are coming out of your mouth
I try hard not to be filled with anger, but it seems you already are
It’s so sad that all we are left with is memories and not each other
I’m tired of begging for one more chance, when I didn’t get a second
You drank from my soul, and decided to leave when you had your fill
I deserve more, I deserve better, I deserver to be loved too
But it seems the only one who thinks that is me, not you

Wow
Wow...I love this one. It reached out and grabbed me and held me fast... I love a poem that does that. Keep it up! Your writing's as great as ever.
Consider this: Light and darkness are two opposing extremities--and neither exists without the other...
Love and hate are two extremities--so can those who claim to hate no one ever truly love?
Thanks
Thank you for the kind words....

If you love me so much, why do you hate me so much?
Powerful
This piece is very powerful. This one line really got me, "You drank from my soul, and decided to leave when you had your fill." Wow...that was fantastic. Truely. You created such powerful emotions. Great, great work =].

Really appreciate it!
Thank you for taking the time to not only read my writing but to leave me a comment. It is strange what love brings out of you that you never knew you had.
Thanks,
Gerry

Love is just a word until someone comes along and gives it meaning.
