Ground beneath our feet disappear
Instantly laughter turns to fear
Water rises above our head
Rip tide pulls us out ahead
Focus on you now I must
I’m the one in whom you trust
Make sure you’re always in my sight
To keep you up, I have to fight
Break the surface for some air
People around seem unaware
Shout for help then go back down
Never will I let you drown
Push you up till help arrives
Do whatever it takes to survive
Help is now close at hand
On the seawall we finally stand
On the sand we quietly recollect
This day we will never forget
The ocean may have asked for your hand
Not today ocean, beside me she shall stand
