THE HOUSE THAT DIED AGES AGO
In a very old and abandoned house in a small town
Strange noises are heard when the sun goes down
During the day there is no sound
And nobody is seen around
Such emptiness is felt around there
Neither flesh nor tears, just the cold thin air
But when the nights arrive
The house becomes alive
Around the house if you ever pass by
You will hear a woman cry
You’ll hear a dog bark
Is there any dog? There’s no mark
The doors do open on their own
Dark shadows making frightful moan
If you enter through the doors, old and broken
You will get to see the things unspoken
At nights the lights glow without any power
And water is still there in the taps and the shower
Moonlight sonata being played on a piano
Who is playing it you will never know
Dancing to the music is a little girl so cute
Wearing a pink ballerina and a smile so absolute
At one instant she is there and at the other she vanishes
Waving goodbye, blinking her eyes, her wet eyelashes
A woman wearing a flummoxy sequined dress
With the wandering blue eyes full of stress
There is pain in her weary eyes
Wherein a very doleful story lies
All those spirits try to uncover the truth that is concealed
The tale of sorrows of the tortured souls is to be revealed
But none is seen come and go
In the house that died ages ago
