One fair night I dreamed of you
Lovely forms did flow so true
You and I were together at the beach
Listening to the whole sea’s speech
I did listen to those shells lying beside the sea
Their sounds seemed quite familiar to me
The same desire and mystery
In a form of symmetry
The sound echoed in my ears and got me feeling so high
It’s the same when I listened to your lips, they did sigh
We played with crystal clear water
And the air was filled with your laughter
The peels of your laughter loud and clear
The sweet strains of music reached me ear
The sun sank beneath the yonder distant hill
A hush pervaded and all was still
Our brains were roused with magic power
And filled with light that twilight hour
You looked into my eyes, wide open, had the run
I felt as if our souls were but one
Like the stars shining with so much light
I looked into your sparkling eyes so bright
You held me close to you, I was still
My brain was mad with thoughts that kill
Our young, full of passion and chaste hearts
Were pierced by cupid’s thrilling darts
We prayed together and a ray of heavenly light
Upon our souls was shed, all the things were bright
And our love God did test
He found the zeal that knows no rest
I made the promise to obey
Until from earth I am called away
You vowed to be always at my side
And then he called us the man and the bride
