I can feel the music coursing,
pumping through my body with racing speed.
I can feel it traveling in my blood,
awakening every sense and feel.
I can feel it thumping in my ears,
the gentle ache of it being too loud.
I can feel my limbs twitch with anticipation,
wanting to stretch out and move freely.

I can feel the music bringing me to life.

-Music's Affect-

Something happens the second I turn it on
the moment that I hear its sweet sound
whether loud and harsh or sweet and soft
it changes me inside out.
I can feel my mood change with the switch of the song
the blues that brings me down
the indie that makes me rebellious
the rock that makes me sure of myself
the techno that release the dancer in me
the country that makes me human
I could go on for days.
Everything I play has a meaning
an underlying reason for its existence
an underlying reason I listen to it at that moment.
If I play something like Papa Roach I'm immediately angry
I can feel it in my face
flushed red with color and heat
I know what it does to me
and yet I love it.
This kind of control I subject myself to.
