Your Game

I was flying high
To high to even see ground
Then I looked at you amazed
Couldn't believe what I had found

You offered nothing
I gave nothing in return
Yet love stepped in
Will I ever learn

It started as a game
It would be so much fun
Not once inviting love
Lord,what have I done

You said maybe in time
we could find more
You scared me to death
Wondering what was in store

So I took that ride
It was a pretty bumpy road
For something lighhearted
It seemed a heavy load

Then came the time
I had to question my mind
What to hell
Did I hope to find

There was nothing there
It was all your invention
Then I had to face facts
All along it was your intention

It was your game
You sat the rule
I played it well
Played the part of a fool
