You Alone
You alone seem to fill my need
Filling me with love, making me bleed
With one touch of your hand
I feel compassion,or reprimand
When I am wild, playing the clown
A look from you settles me down
I worry and fret, you say let it be
The load is lighter while you're with me
You alone, fill the void,I didn't know was there
I need you as much,as I need air
The sound of your voice,no matter the word
The sweetest sound that I ever heard
If feeling at peace,or I am scared
It matters little if feelings are shared
Quietly I learned the word compromise
And the word love as I looked in your eyes
I feel there is little for which I must atone
As I open my heart, and give it to you alone

Hey, Lady
Your opening lines tell me a lot about this situatuion... "You alone seem to fill my need,
Filling me with love, making me bleed."
What I read into this is...a passionate affair, intense and joyful...with a mixture of pain that can bring tears to a lover's eyes. Am I right?
Judging from the rest of your lines, you are totally in awe of this person. And nothing more is mentioned about making you bleed.
Your closing lines were perfect as well! 2 words, however, stood out among the rest...bleed and reprimand!
I have to tell you, Lady...this was a great poem...one of your best!!!
sometimes
sometimes love feels good but can also add some pain.Sometimes you live alone so long just pleasing yourself , that you forget the cost of trying to please another.and sometimes you open that door and take a chance. Thanks for your comment

Yeah
I know where you're coming from. And I understand everything you're saying. Love isn't perfect...nor are we. There is pleasure and pain mixed in with everyone we meet...how sweet it would be to find a perfect romance/friendship/love without the pain.
Hey city boy
sometimes there is a price to pay even in love.
Gloria
Yep
I guess you're right, Little Lady.
True love isn't easily found...but when you do find it, savor it! Even if it isn't perfect.
