In my mind I have so much to say
That I can't seem to put my pen away
There is so much that I want to share
To let the world know I care
If one person can come to understand
That I'll reach for them and hold out my hand
Maybe in my words they will come to find
Some contentment for their troubled mind
I hope one person will come to see
That they mean something at least to me
When there is a feeling it couldn't me worse
Maybe they can find an answer in my verse
Maybe knowing I have been there before
Will let them know, there not alone anymore
If one verse can brighten a day
I might never put my pen away
