It Is Not Over Yet

Today we remember 9/11 and all it did entail
The man that planned the event, never spent a day in jail
But we became prisoners, all of us that day
So many of our freedoms have been taken away
So many lives changed,so many lives lost
Ben Laden continues to run,we pay the cost
Two little boys,I still see them in my mind
I think of their poor mother that they left behind
So much that fateful day I will never forget
As we stayed glued,as we stared at our tv set
We cried,we prayed, but nothing really changed
All caused by a man,a sick man ,deranged
The towers fell, the pentagon in flame,A plane down in pa
How would or could anyone forget that day
Remember them sifting for body parts that remain
So many hero's that day, some collapsed from strain
9/11 a day in history that we will never forget
A day that changed out lives,it is not over yet

I agree, Gloria!

It is not over yet! There is more to come.! 9/11 was only the beginning.
7 years has passed since the tragedy happened and diplomaticaly things have gotten worse. We're in a Cold War as far as North Korea and Iran are concerned.
China is a slumbering giant soon to be awakened! China has more people on the face of the earth than the U.S. and Iran and Irag put together.
Imagine what were to happen if China were to take a lead in world affairs, and ally itself with North Korea...then Iran and Iraq?
The U.S. wouldn't stand a chance!
Looking back on history....ancient Rome fell...ancient Greece fell...so so did the Ottomon Empire! As well as The U.S.S.R.
Is it our turn to fall???? Or do we stand a chance of withstanding against our enemies???
Great write, Gloria!
Let's see where the next 4 years will lead us!
