Words...
One day a man was walking along a street, and he saw a word crying in an alley. So the man ask why the word was crying, and word said;
“Words used to have power, the power change mind, the power to change people the power to change the world. But now words fall on ears not able or not willing to receive them. The words have not changed, thou it may seem that they have but no it is the people whom have changed. They do not wish to here the words, they want someone else to hear them.
“Man gave birth to the words, shaped them and molded them in to tools only to abandon them to decay and die. The strength word possessed has dwindled and no one seems to care. Once men used words to make men see, to make men to great and terrible things. The worlds would turn on words. Words could express men greatest loves and there darkest fears.
It was once true that words could make clear what was unsure, now the words themselves are the “problems” to be solved. Men are taught the meaning of word but not what they truly represent.
Leaders cannot lead and poets cannot sing if words lose the power completely. The loss of words is more than simply the breakdown of language, as words lose there meaning so to the things they represent, if a few letters make a syllable and a syllable or two make a word and life is simply a word then to take a life is only the remove of four letters.
For as long as there have been words those who are weak and those who are abuse how had a weapon with which to strike out at those who are strong. How can a man know he’s has been wronged if he has no word for it, or how can he ask for help if he does not possess the understanding that words provide.
Words are a both mans greatest weapon and his greatest shield, as well as his greatest tool.
Do you wish to know the greatest secret of word…”
He said to no one as the man had left long ago
“…there greatest secret is that they never truly had and power and they never will, for a word mean only what any given man thinks it does.”
“Only those who will not see are truly blind”
