my heart
as empty as a tossed bottle
into the raging waves
of the restless sea..

a hollowed space
i am desperate to fill
i am hungry for love..
for You

i speak of brokenness
when I'm not with You
i write of despair
when I'm so numb to feel You

the horizon is too far to reach
the water is too deep to cross
the sky is too high to fly
the world is difficult

to bear
to carry
to understand
without You

walk with me
embrace me
love me
reclaim me

i am Yours
my God.
