The Beggar

Homeless man outside the city
Do well to make it through today
But we pass him by without thinking
But what if we could feel his pain
If there's concern well, we don't show it
And if there's hurt, well, we don't know it

We turn away
From what we see
Hope someone else will hear his plea
We hide our shame
Ignore his pain
But a day in his shoes would make us see

A hurt man walks through the church doors
Just lookin for a sense of hope
Coulda found what he was there for
But all he felt was bitter cold
If they were aware, they didn't show it
N if there was care, he didn't know it

We turn away
From what we see
Hope someone else will hear his plea
We hide our shame
Ignore his pain
But a day in his shoes would make us see

The homeless are an

The homeless are an abandoned lot. It's hard not to feel for them; a lot of them are just too crazy to hold down a job or hopeless alcoholics. What is the answer to the problem? I don't know. But we should all try to donate a little time or money to homeless shelters or charities when we can. Thanks for sharing this poem with us. Peace, NSF

This is wonderful

This is one of the best poems i have ever read.
It is a good way to tell people about our societies problems.
