Speak Your Truth
Never be ashamed of the words your heart speaks,
let them flow freely from your tender heart.
Love and truth do not need to be edited, watered down.
Let them unfurl,
opening slowly to the light of love,
as does the flower which opens
petal
by
petal
from the center,
each a part of the beautiful whole.
It is in the nature of the words of truth,
to bring passion; inspiration
It is the soul shining through
the love we have become.

Such beautiful, heartfelt poetry, Jill...
This is such beautiful, heartfelt poetry, Jill. I'm so glad that you chose to post another one of your lovely and worthwhile writes. I like the tender, spiritual nature of this, and the uplifting positive message it comes to bring forth. I also admire the way you were able to convey such a high level of feelings and emotions within your writing, as I became very moved and inspired while I read it. Your poetry is filled with grace, hope, and the wonderful light of love. Thanks so much, Jill, for sharing more of your exceptionally talented and artistically creative work. I sincerely came to enjoy this. God bless you.

Thank you JP :)
Thanks JP, I woke up with these thoughts in my head one morning and put them in my phone before I got up. I am in the habit of sometimes editing myself, or watering down my words to please other people or make the truth easier to take. I am trying to stop from doing that, to express myself genuinely even when it's hard. How much easier it would be to communicate with and understand people if they portrayed their authentic selves. I am so glad you find grace and love in this and that you enjoyed it. Thanks for the sincere and uplifting comments. God bless you.

Jill,
This is such an inspiration.
Your message was clear to me: be in love & be in truth.
Forgive me, if I only have a few to say, I'm still feeling out of sorts after being an absent member of this site for almost 2 years. Yikes! :)
Hope all is well and I'm looking forward reading more of your poems.
All the best,
Eric Roxas
Thanks Eric :)
Welcome back :) I have come and gone over the last few years myself. Yes you understand my message well, to just be, to let things unfold, let life happen, not to control or edit life or yourself. So glad you found it inspiring. Looking forward to reading your new work. Take care.
Jill
You're welcome, Jill
Know what? I've been writing some of my best thoughts and ideas down & I'm hoping, praying, a poem worthy of public consumption would suddenly emerge from that pile of random words in the next few days or so. Let's see. :)
For now, I'm finding pleasure in reconnecting with old friends here by reading their most recent submissions.
