Marred

~ Marred ~

Twisted, the emotions spin,
truths realized too late, hurt that runs too deep,
and still you twist them: blame, anger and shame,
like a dark poison, the tears flowing from your eyes.
You will drown in your tears,
watching yourself spiral down with morbid fascination.
Your vices are pity and hate, you call upon them,
not realizing these are the weapons of the weak.
You manipulate them each in turn as your plight darkens.
Do not call for me, I can not hear you.
Do not reach for me, I am beyond your grasp.
I am above this.
I have moved past the darkened hour in which you live.

~Flight from Fears~

Jill,

Tears are rivers of fears. To live in fear is a raging sea. A raging sea is so violent it destroys our ability to balance life. If we embrace our fears, we are marred for life, we are treading life with uncertainty.

We must rise above our fears. We must understand that calm is peace. Troubles are arrows that fly but they cannot harm us.

We are what we think. Think of goodness, think of a world raining love. Think of right, erase wrong.

I love your prescriptions for life. You are a doctor of love, true love.

Warm regards,

Kathy

Happy Thoughts

Thank you Kathy, I find your words comforting. I was brought down for so long. I finally realized that I can not loose myself at the expense of helping others. I realized that I am the only one that is responsible for my happiness. There were many things and people I had to let go. Even for all my hardships, I find that when I am true to myself and those I love, that my life seems to right itself. Thanks for sending "happy thoughts" my way! :)

'Your vices are pity and hate, you call upon them,
not realizing these are the weapons of the weak.'

Are you talking to me?
haha.

But no, I really like this poem, thank you for sharing.

Nope...not you :)

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it.

Wow!

I think this is such a great piece. I can go so far down into it, visiting my own cave of fears, and also find so much positiveness behind the words. The way you end this is so strong! Such a great way to describe letting go.
I really laughed when I read the comments on this today, because I had simular thoughts about the 'pity and hate'
You have a wonderful talent!

It was a lesson hard learned and took many years to finally let go. It is hard when you want something so bad, have tried so hard. I am not usually one to give up on anyone or anything. This determination is a help to me. In this case though it took more strength to let go, to see that letting go was the best thing. Thanks for the kind comments and for understanding.

Love the poem

and I especially like the last line.
I feel your strength, courage and confidence you have,
through your words here.
It takes a lot to realize you want to move on from a bad situation and it takes more to force yourself out of it.
Very well done Jill!
Eric

Thanks for the encouragement :)

Thank you Eric so much for the encouragement! It did take a lot of strength, though I didn't do it on my own, it was through much prayer and someone taking the time to see in me that I was so much more than the life I was living...their love gave me strength.
Thank you for the kind and sincere comments.
