Love in Being

~ Love in Being ~

Salt of the sea
Sand of the shore
Droplets from a cloud falling soundlessly
from the blanket of sky
Soaked through with it’s cool dampness
an elemental stillness settles upon me

It is then I feel the pull of you
The elemental tug of spirit
which turns my thoughts to you
Always reaching
towards love’s ever nourishing light
It’s draw as old as the sea
rolling endlessly before me
yet in every moment new
ever changing

It breathes within me
flows around me
An element of the earth
An element of the soul
An ever present thought
A quickening beat of heart
A knowing which reaches
to the deepest fiber of my being

As natural and effortless
as the pearl which forms
from the grain of sand
So to a grain of hope
which is held in love

I really like this. The

Thank You

Thank you, I really enjoy 'Dover Beach', and many poems written with images of the sea. I find the sea calming and inspiring. To remind you of this great work is high praise indeed.

Awe-inspiring

This poem seems to capture the same
beauty you can find in the sea.

so its easy and natural,
and very familiar to the spirit.

Loved the read, very well structured,
and succinctly closed.

Thank You

Thank you, it is a place where I find myself at peace with life, where I can think.
So glad you enjoyed it, I like to write so that some is left to thought...like the last lines; in that every grain of sand does not indeed become a pearl, as hope does not always prove fruitful in love, and yet we hope and love because that is who we are.

Jill

Thanks for taking me there.

The emotion was expressed beautifully here, through the vivid images you described.
Well thought of and crafted.
Thanks for posting!
