~Depths of the Soul~

Your words, they speak to me.
They reach me as does the reaching of the heart,
which lies behind the voice that whispers them,
softly intimate, as one soul speaks to another.

The thoughts deep in themsleves,
yet they only touch the surface,
of the vast current of emotion which carries you.

It wells inside you until at last the thought breaks free,
and is carried to the shore.
Sometimes it crashes forcefully,
wind whipped upon the shore; lashing
it's words stinging, as the emotion it wrenched from you.

Sometimes it flows slowly, steadily, quietly,
as it washes gently over me,
it's soft pull a comfort,
it's carress as soft as the words it carries.

Somehow it always finds it's way,
drawn to the shore with a heavenward pull,
of a force greater than itself.
Somehow with it's silvery light,
it seems to move even the deepest waters.
