~ Contentment ~

Contentment is not something to be gained by possession.
You can not work simply at being content,
but must work at making a difference.
True contentment is gained
by the difference you make in the lives of others.

With each act of kindness, raised to a greater height,
with the weightless joy only found in the service of others.
You do not strive for distinction,
but let kindness be your way of life,
and you will be distinguished by your actions.

Intended not for recognition, or for the sake of the deed,
what you give has to be given freely, or it is not truly given.

We are what we give unconditionally of ourselves.
