I never wanted this
Leader of the "free" world
Thrust upon me
Deer caught in the headlights
Couldn't let daddy down
I failed miserably
What else could I have done?

Someday, I'll find my niche
Someway, I'll make someone proud
Besides the people that voted for me
They chose me out of fear
The lessor of two evils
At least I've got my health
Armed with the comfortable notion
That Congress has a worse approval rating
Lord, is that even possible?

May history treat me kindly
If nothing else, I've proven
Beyond a shadow of a doubt
That mediocrity can go far
Imagine if I was blessed with greatness
Insight, vision, intelligence
I'd be the greatest of all time!
Alas, it's not to be

It sure has been a lot of fun
Not knowing what the hell I'm doing
Or what I'm saying
I've kept comedians employed
That's an accomplishment
Right?
