Deamon Seed
I'm slowly seeing through the pretense
Veneer of smiling faces
Phony airs and deceitful sighs
You want nothing more then
A one night stand
But here you come yearning
For a helping hand
But settle for the pretty boy
With teeth of pearly white
Flat broke despite the designer clothes
But I can't blame him
I'd love to be in his position
Literally
Take everything and give nothing
But sweat and cream...
Out comes my wallet
Dollars and a kind ear
That you bend so thoughtlessly
Don't know why I even bother
Hanging around when you're intent
Is to screw every bad boy in town
How many is it now?
Boy, I've lost count
Use me and it feels good to be needed
Guess what I always wanted
Since the beginning was
To water your seed...
Everyone was born with a part to play
The nice guy who tries and always fails
To snag for keeps the damsel in distress
Yet, she's always searching for artifical excitement
And half baked dramas
With greedy fingers in my pockets
I'm getting too old for this co-dependent bullshit
Recieving nothing in return but a soul in turmoil...
Who cares if I finish first or last?
All I desire is serenity casting a line
Upon this psyche removing the wish
That one must crucify themselves at the alter
For ungrateful bastards who deserve to drown
In the slime without giving you the time of day
But don't forget to leave a check for charity
And a phone number to be reached at
Just in case you're needed but the only promise
She's making is to the parasites going down on her...
Sugar Daddy has retired
Left the building
Turning in his parking pass
Don't forget the key
That never opened the temple
Gravy train has a flat
Simple as that
I don't need anyone
Let along a two bit whore
Massaging my ego
My soul is in need of repair
Lord, kill the disease
And envelop me with peace...
