In The Valley
Time to put money
Where my mind is
The best thing to come along
Can't envision a day without her
Three weeks and counting
Only confusion settling in...
If I want her
Then all its gonna cost me
Is hope and faith
Two words I haven't been
Feeling a hell of a lot lately
Then again
Everyone place their bets
I could be committing the
Biggest mistake in quite a night
Pretty girls dime a dozen
Soul mates once in a lifetime
Let's be honest
She made me feel complete
Should have been paid more attention
Taken care of her, yet this heart
Is worse for wear and there isn't
Anyone to blame for
The "man" has taken a powder...
With each passing day
The silence is mutated
But the voices inside this head
Only grow louder
"Boy, you F..ked up!
Gazing at your navel
Instead of drinking from the loving cup
She selflessly offered
You and your precious baggage
From the past deserve to be
In the valley...

I Really
Liked this piece, so much.
A great sense of inner reflection taking place here, and a kind of acceptance of personal responsibility. Our hearts, so needy of love.. so selfishly pursuing love..Yet.. so fragile.
