Bastard And The Fool

They shove me aside
Without a logical explanation
As to why
Hope you don't mind
Bastard says to the fool
Take that as a warning
A crumb of decency
Besides, on a good day
I'd pummel you into the sacred ground
I walk upon
On the record, I can't stand
The sight of you or stomach
The though that we breathe the same air
If it was up to me, your kind wouldn't be welcomed here...

They sense my fear
Make it a sworn duty
Take every advantage of obvious weakness
With a gang of cowards to cover his ass
He's just as scared as me
But refuses to be called out
Pushed unwittingly into the spotlight
With nowhere to run to
Or anyone to blame...

Excuse me for not perpetrating upon your game
Just minding my own business
The essence of independence
A concept you sneer at
Cause you hate being alone
Isn't it time to text someone?
Create some drama?
Pour a ballyhood of chemicals down your throat?
And inevitably gloat that your existence
Is far more exciting then mine
Cause you're reveling in a deluded mind?
What is real?
What is clear?
I want to remember the good, bad and the ugly
Feel the elation, pain and indifference
Without a fucking crutch
Obviously, you haven't grown up

Yet they continually laugh and make fun
Deconstructive criticism is so healthy for the soul
Makes me feel so damn cold
But I won't take the gun they offer
Just point the trigger at them instead
And poke holes in their reverse psychology
To end it all would be an implausible ending
For someone that's comfortable in my skin
But it's the perfect conclusion that fits
A win win situation and you can scoff
That I have a devious mind for being a so-called pacifist
But I'm tired of towing the line
Trying to humor you
I've run out of jokes
Particularly when they've been on me
I'll be your punching bag
Until you collapse from fatigue
I'll be the Rosetta stone
So project your vomit upon me
I'll wipe it off and continue on
Until you figure out that the real enemy
Are the ones that you trusted with confessions
Only to let you down...

Eventually, you'll move
Find and pester the next compassionate stooge
Without a hidden agenda
Just because you can
You're so empty and my sympathies
Cause family can't fill you up
For they're rolling in their graves
I refuse to be broken
And allow some parasite
To destroy a serenity
That was earned and not
Bought at a bargain
Hope you don't mind
When I shove you aside
For having a reason
As to why...
