My mind is a garden
My mind is a garden, with flowers in bloom
But when left without care, the weeds will consume
They creep in discreetly, so late in the night
And when they take root, they bring sadness and plight
The days come and go, as the weeds grow with time
Sometimes I uproot them, and sometimes they climb
I fight hard for my garden, it won't fall from grace
My mind will return to that beautiful place

Miracle Grow
Beware of the thistles,
they often will prick.
Amongst all the weeds,
so much harder to pick.
Tending and weeding,
a constant affair.
Daily attention
needs focus and care.
When ridden of unwanted
vines that can creep,
you’ll see them return
from seeds missed by your sweep.
So if you do want
your mind growing your way,
cultivate often
to keep them at bay.
