Dusklight (Come Back Home)
Dusk...how I hate thee...
In the wee hours of the morn' she did leave
"Don't sail away!" I cried to no avail...
Midday passed, and thou hast slain my veil.
I cannot whisper, I cannot cry,
I cannot shiver, I cannot die...
But I can try...
Can't I?
Dusk...You are the bane of my ever-presence
Now as the day winds down I can no longer see...
Now as the winds die down I can no longer hear...
Where are you now my love?
Wherefore did the dawnlight take you?
The day is all but gone,
And it shall be missed by none.
I'll wait forever at the shore,
Dost thou care anymore?
Dost thou care that thou's flight cost me my life?
Please, my only love, come back to my arms,
Come back home.
Dusk...you come so swift, like a blade,
Slice through this weak dying soul!
Dusk...your twilight is naught but a reminder,
A horrid reminder of once was,
and is now, since dawnlight, lost!
Dusk...let your darkness unmake me!
May thy voyage bring thee good fortune,
More so than it did for me.
All is dead...All of that which is me,
Which is you, which will never come back...
Dusk...thou came and went.
Now Dark is here and I'm spent
Here I sat and here I'll sit,
'Til she comes back...
'Till then,
I'm just another shadow...
"...Solely a victim of your company, but you and me...together for-never"
