Lost Love

She sank to the ground, her dress folded around her
She pulled the cold, stiff body onto her knees
Tears streaming down her cheeks
As she held onto his lifeless body

She felt her heart breaking as the pain became too much to bare
As they tried to take him from her
She held onto him not willing to let go
Shaking her head in disbelief

How can she just forget and go on without him

Her dress was soaked from the pouring rain
And her long hair clung to her face

She had felt so protected and so secure
With his arms wrapped around her
As their two bodies swayed in rhythm
On the dance floor

He had told her that he loved her
