push the envelope
yes I "push the envelope"
in many things that I do.
please accept my apology
for the ways it effects you.
all I know is commitment
when being with a man.
an emotion less attachment
is difficult to understand.
the time spent with you
is something I really enjoy.
as if I can't get enough,
like a child with a new toy.
while we are making love
and I surrender to you
I lose myself in the fascination
of all the things that you do.
I told you I don’t understand
having sex without emotion
that's the only reason I can give
as to why I feel this devotion
it down right astounds me
how vulnerable I feel,
yet I know that to you;
that I'm not that big a deal.
you don't want a relationship
due to the hassles it involves.
you want freedom and independence
and the ability to be absolved.
I hope you don't think
that I sound deranged
when I say "in the future-
I hope your mind is changed!"

I like this
interesting reading this it brings to mind that fear of commitment, losing oneself to another and how scary that can be. I think you did well expressing this. Interesting perspective. raskin

i usually write poems as a form of therapy to deal with issues i am going thru. this usually helps me release any negativities that i may be feeling... then when someone understands me and compliments on it, WOW... that's just the icing on the cake! thanks again for your kind words!
