i've been known to act silly, crazy and aloof;
slightly certifiable; yet there's no iron clad proof!

wandering thru life, in my own little world;
dancing to songs in my head; where often i'm twirled.

no matter what the day brings, or the challenges faced;
i learned to slow down, and don't act with such haste!

for when i got harried, things often went wrong!
how do i know? because what stopped was"my song"!

since i've slowed down and adhered to a plan,
along came self esteem,now i'm my number one fan!

i've never said before that; "i like who i am!"
i thought people judged me. now i don't give a damn!

the only opinion that matters is the one that i hold;
i even surprise myself with a statement so bold!

i turned myself around; with this new positive thinking,
it's also helped tremendously, that i've cut down on my drinking!
