Walter

If only my Legs could run
Walter, we could have such fun
I`d chase you with your walking frame
Round the room, and back again
I`d give you a good run for your money
Catch you up,and say (“Hi Honey”)
At the Piano you would play a lovely Tune
Then December would seem like June.
We’d sing a duet, high and low,
I would nudge you with my toe.
You’d smile at me with that cheeky grin,
I’d get goose-pimples all over my skin.
He is so polite with a gentle air,
Do I stand a chance of an affair?
Not with this lot in our class.
They look at things with a magnifying glass.
They speculate, Nose and pry
So Walter my dear, I’ll say Goodbye.
