In-Laws

The first time we met,
I thought your feelings were real toward me.
Until I had nothing more to give.
Or maybe until I started speaking up for me.
How could people you care for like your own family,
play on your intelligence and your weakliest feelings?

Yes,
I told you I loved your mother,
because she stayed strong in her struggle.
But that all changed when she stopped keeping it real.
Yes,
the truth is about to be reviled.
She play on emotions to get what she can get.
This truth is hurting me.

How can I be treated like an outsider everytime they get mad?
When I was the one who put food in her crib,
and the only one who paid her rent on time.
My family is so far gone from me,
because I respected your family more than thee.

I know,
Karma.......
Is a muther_ucker.
I'm left hurting without my family,
because my own family didn't want to raise me.
Now I can see the light that always shined on me.
I never needed anyone or anything.............Just the Lord and what he has in store for me.

In Laws

Hi Elizabeth thanks for adding me to your buddy list.
This poem is raw my young friend. I regognise some of the emotion cos I many years ago was treated shall we say in a disgraceful manner by my in laws in fact my wife and me both.

Truth and right triumphed for us Elizabeth .In moments of despair my friend never lose sight of the good wherever it is. I suspect a lot is in you.

Take care
