The Time Is Near

I don’t understand how one minute a person can be perfectly fine
Then go to the doctor for a visit to find they don’t have much more time.
No more time to live life, and be here on this earth
It’s almost like a person’s nightmare, just another cruel curse
I feel so helpless, so lifeless, because there’s nothing anyone can do
All these years went by and she was fine, but no one ever knew
All this time with no treatments to help, and so the disease grew
The feeling I have is so horrendous, so unimaginable I can’t stop crying
As I sit here and await the news of hearing that my loved one is dying.
I feel like a knife is cutting through my soul and straight to my heart
I can’t see her like that, laying there in pain, Soon her body and soul will be growing apart.
What can one do when she knows there’s nothing she can do that will help?
I just want to scream, all of this sudden news has my mind overwhelmed.
I must admit she’s always been one tough old bird
She always kept God close in heart; she knew how to stay in his word.
Life is always going to throw curveballs, and you’ll always have trials and tribulations.
Reading the word of God, I guess this is what he meant in the book of Revelations.
I love my Grams; she is and always will be the best
I will be praying to God as he puts her soul to rest.
I hope I’m there holding your hands & starring in your eyes as you take your last breath.
I want to be there to see you and say my good-bye
While I hug you, and kiss you, I’ll be crying and ask God why?
It will never be bye forever, just until we meet again.
One day I’ll see you at the pearly gates and that’s when our eternal life will begin.
I love you Gram, and I want you to stay strong, and live your life while on this earth
I have to accept what is coming, because this is all apart of our Master’s work.
I know when you’re gone you’ll be looking down over me
Because God will free you of your disease and your soul will be set free
You can begin to live your eternal life happily.
It’s crazy how the Dr’s didn’t see anything, almost as they were being deceitful
I do know when it’s time to go, you will be calm and it will be peaceful.
God died for our sins, so that we can live, and that was the price he was willing to pay
Just know the memories & love we have of you here on earth will never fade and can never be replaced.
So I’m going to end this by saying hold your head up high and have no fear
We all have to accept the fact that the final time is near.
