The Burden Of Armor

To dispose of the shielding
To see whether neath there is grit

To throw away the false face
To see whether beneath there is a face

Having straight dispute with the world
To have the fitness to meant presence

Having a bona fide response to the Master
To have the right to brimming existence

Not to be a lantern kindling with a snatched light
But be set on fire by the deathless Lamp-Lighter...

The Tragedy Behind the Masks and the False Self!

Another concise yet hard hitting piece of work! In each statement there is a powerful philosophical insight to ponder, like "having straight dispute wih the world to have the fitness to meant presence" and "a bona fide response to the Master to have the right to brimming existence". So very true that in order to have the right to real and full existence we must confront evil within ourselves and around us. Our favorite statement is the last one, again concise yet so meaningful... those who are stealing ideas, not trying to be true to themselves, wearing ugly masks of deceit instead of allowing God's love and light to set them on fire. This is truly great and explosive stuff! Thanks again.

Yet Another Facial Scrub!

Right to the heart of the matter...Throwing away that false face and be what the Master Lamp-Lighter intended you to be. Not only excellent philosophical verse, but in my opinion, some of the best satire I've read from recent years. Thanks again for the TRUE GRIT!

True Grit or NO Grit...

Aye, the shedding of one's false face...a scary thought to most. But, you have unraveled the mystery in the last 2 stanzas perfectly. Great job!
