Take-Home Pay
Now that you arrived in the afterlife,
What was your earned income?
Hope you did not see the ugliness
Of laziness, greediness, and loftiness,
Damaging gratifications of hideous temptations,
Deadly leprosy of hidden jealousy,
The unsightliness of superfluity,
The repulsiveness of impurity and irascibility.
Hoping that you had loved the unlovable
Until you found them likeable.
Hope you did not fall
Into a grievous, uncontrite transgression
When you were given
Life's fathomless possession.
Now that you are in the next world,
Hope that you have seen your soul pristine
With your True Liberator's Face within...
For all time, praying and hoping
You found your true home...
And you, my earthly brother,
Do you possess the longing
To be the nearest to Him and His Sacred Mother?
Do you wish the same for your own brother?
Is there enough grain?

You've hit the nail on the head! What do we "take home" ? Better check our inventory pronto! Great poem of great importance,
GROSS NET LIFETIME INCOME? HIGHEST INTEREST GUARANTEED!
Mindboggling, trillions of $$$ being tossed about, debts for decades, bankruptcies galore.....what does it all mean in the spectrum of life? Life is all about what we bring with us to Our Creator when we meet on the Other Side...our "baggage" stored up within our souls. This brilliant poem brought an instant picture to my mind. Our last trip, yet we may not be prepared for the journey because we haven't packed the proper "gear" for the final destination. Some people do prepare, and are not so surprised as their "baggage" is emptied at the customs station for inspection, although for sure there will be a lot of misdeeds brought to light that we've overlooked. I am just terrified for those people who arrive with not just a truckload, but a mountain range full of "baggage" that is declared unsuitable, even detestable by the Creator. We'd better take heed as you warned in this poem Dr. K, the time to start working on it is NOW. Once you get to to Customs...it MIGHT BE TOO LATE! And, yes...we do get THE HIGHEST INTEREST on our earthly "investments" with true, humble repentence here & now (limited time offer! NO life span guarantees!) Thanks again for your very inspirational insights.

P.S. FYI: I have completed all cardiac tests at Mass General Hospital in Boston except for the neurological assessment. The results - thanks to the Guiding Hand of Divine Love are very encouraging. In spite of the defect, my heart in general is functioning normally.

Sin creates propensity to sin,
and propagation of sin, especially grave sins makes one distinctly impercipient, unintelligent, block-like and consequentially by degrees also pitiless. This unregenerate state of a soul or perverted and reprobate proclivities not only becloud and darken conscience, but also pervert the actual judgment and discrimination of good and evil, consequently weakening the will to do good. The Last Judgment will unequivocally reveal that God's justice triumphs over all the violations of another's rights, and violation of what is changelessly and eternally good and right.
