His Unalterable Judgment...

In ploys set forward, the foe never sleeps,
Intices to grim murder when the helpless weeps...
Leads to perversity (lethal!) while peccant want creeps.
The grave offender of the Sacred Victim
Whom on leash despotic... Satan keeps...

The fear-inspiring and inextricable phrase,
Spoken by Lips Blameless -
"Depart. I Do Not Know You,"
For spurning, sovereign, panacean Grace...

Steeped in fool's errand, going astray:
Slipping away... (expiring!) in self-imposed haze,
The lifeless corpse - the irreparable traitor!
Time and again, toiling in suicidal craze.

Doomed into minatory, ogreish fate -
Liars (confirmed), deceivers (diseased),
Deviants (loathsome), murderers (stony),
Abiding in zilch, rock bottom hope
For lacking well-drilled, well-groomed,
Orderly love...

(Bamboozled, beaten, still foozled,
Failing the One and Only Test...
Not stamped with approval - no rest!).

To bear in mind the final - irreversible Words...
Cherishing the redemptive, most lenitive Edicts,
For which Blood Divine in profusion was shed...
For better or for worse to savor the imperishable Bread.

His enduring Truth to dutifully assist,
Traps relentless of the ancient foe
With iron-willed heart resist, resist.
Persist in salubrious life, on seraphic life insist.

To break off the wanton craze,
The hideous maze - desist... scornfully resist!
Assist His Lofty Steps, noon and night assist,
Innocent Eyes - at no time - resist.

(This world swampy, fading,
Brutally unjust! cannot distract!)

While savored verily, Truth Living, Immortal
Steadily guides to holier and still holier portal,
While sufficiently grasped, can only attract...
Wholeheartedly attract...

The inextricable phrase:
"Depart. I Do Not Know You"...

And, the Same, Ultimate Voice
Now... loyally whispers:
"Come to sense, make amends,
Fix the gaze on Finish Line,
So My plenty can be thine...
Forever separated from Me?!
From the old serpent
Take flight, tenaciously flee!
Wrestle, fight,
For the night
Can be favorably bright..."

"Depart. I Do Not Know You!"

Heavenward?
Or
No... no... no!
Say no more...

"And He will say to you: I know you not, whence you are. Depart from me, all ye workers of iniquity. There, shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth..." - Luke 13:27-28

"Preach the word: be instant in season, out of season: reprove, entreat, rebuke in all patience and doctrine" - 2 Timothy 4:2

"The man who does not do what the Lord has commanded, hopes without reason for what the Lord has promised" - Doctor of The Church - St. Peter Chrysologus

Most important, urgent message and warning!

Indeed! Ultimately, we either spend eternity in Heaven or God forbid!!! hell, and most of us will spend time in Purgatory to be purified in order to be in the presence of God. To reach Heaven requires to be faithful in all to Christ who died to open the gate of Heaven for us. Some of us become slaves to serious sins and passions for acquiring riches or seeking success, wasting this precious and short time on earth. We only get one chance.. one life, and we can be successful and truly content only when we are successful in God's sight. That is, doing His will by growing in holiness. Holiness is the real happiness and only success as you Dr. Kardas often stress in your works. Those folks who get trapped in the enemy's claws are so transparent even by the language they use like "I", "me", "my" and "mine"!, betraying who they are, and where their heart is. Thank you for this masterpiece, as all your marvelous works it is a great pleasure to read and ponder about. We love the changes in style, the needed repetitions and the power of some verbs that achieve the desired intensity in stirring our souls and fueling our minds. Thank you again for feeding and awakening our souls. Your friends in Christ.

Lethally ill, yet gulps iniquity like a soft drink...

Thank you for your prudently reasoned comments and kindness which are truly valued. Undoubtedly, when conscience is asleep - having lost awareness or concept of sin; conceiving evil as good or good as evil; when nothing is capable of shaming a person anymore, a soul is virtually dead. Yet, what displeases Our Redeemer most is sin, and accordingly one thing only that shall fill us with infinite fear for it decisively determines our final destiny... and that is sin.

May Christ preserve you in His abundant Grace... DKK

God does everything out of Love.

Kudos to you Doc! You tell it like it is, directly to the point. Even when writing about such serious matters, your sense of humor comes through and some of your expressions are hilarious! The stupidity of some people never ceases to amaze me. They view God's commands as something awful that restricts their "freedom" not realizing that God does everything out of love. His laws were given to guide us to eternal happiness and protect us from damnation. And there are countless fools who rebel against God's laws living in slime of all sorts of perversions and serious sins. They have the nerve to believe that they will somehow miraculously land in Heaven. Do they really think that they can keep offending God here on earth and hope to spend eternity with Him??? God is loving but is also a just Judge. For sure He will have to say to them: "Depart! I do not know you!" since they have spent a lifetime acting as His enemies, going against His holy will. I'll be sharing more than a few copies of this one. I need to scare some people straight! Superb work AS ALWAYS!
God bless you dear friend.
Richie & the (ever growing) gang!

The Primary outcome of true love is to purify...

It is always a memorable event and enjoyment to read your remarks delivered with fervor and zest! As you passionately reaffirmed, our love for God is authentic if it compels us to abandon sin. When it does not lead us to detestation and purification from sin, then it is not authentic or at least is not intense or powerful enough. Even venial sins committed habitually or voluntarily obscure one's conscience, and God cannot confer His omnipotent graces on those who declare by their sinful actions "I do not want God's grace!" Yes, even venial sins weaken God's power - healing and illuminating actions of God - over one's soul, and if not eradicated, venial sins also, by degrees destroy sanctifying Grace...
May we never lose His sanctifying Grace...

Innocent Eyes, at NO Time Resist !

Dr. Dorothy, What a pleasant surprise to see you have had the time to create such a wonderful masterwork, knowing all your involvement in the 40 DAYS FOR LIFE campaign. Certainly we are all joining in frequent prayers for the protection of the unborn babies. How properly fitting that you mentioned "Innocent Eyes at no time resist" meaning Our Saviour's Eyes and also being the innocent eyes of the unborn. The bottom line is clear... whomever we choose to serve and listen to in this life, will have eternal consequences. To choose everlasting bliss with our Pefect Lover is the ONLY sane, endlessly rewarding, and blessed option. Thanks again for your written work and and all your Pro-Life efforts. We cherish your friendship and wish you always, only the very best!

Contradicting the principles of logicality and humanity...

Thank you for your kind-hearted comments and encouraging words about pro-life work. Still, in this day and age - after all we know scientifically, theologically etc. unfortunately there are those who defiantly are not advocating full protection of human life from the first moment of conception. Illogicalness as such, has undeniably characteristic of leprous mentality and despicability, bringing to light absolutely petrifying inhumanness and savagery.
May the Author of Life save them from this monstrous degradation...

Wishing you courage and abundant treasures of His Grace... DKK

Forthright & farsighted vision/mission.

Read several of your new poems and unsurprisingly there is so much to absorb. Besides great wisdom, there are no-nonsense tones in your great poetic works so needed this straight shooting in writing, spoken word and conduct. Apart from sincerely living for the One who redeemed us, the other alternative is too frightful to consider, so the ending of this poem is most appropriate. Excellent work of a practical idealist, straightfoward and sensible. Dr. K. you are a thinker who is obviously not tolerating any irrelevancies. Hats off to you! God bless...

Sin is an insult to God's perfect authority...

With gratitude I read your considerate and reflective remarks. Straight shooting is indissolubly linked with the "straight and narrow," for it is an exclusive affirmation of God's Word and His changeless and eternal Truth. When we love the One who died for each and all of us in order to admit us to His Kingdom, we do all - with the help of His grace - to avoid occasion to sin, and try to never insult Him again. Sin is manifestly an infinite insult to God's perfect goodness, and as such is concomitantly a revolting ingratitude... "To sin is human, but to continue to sin is devilish!"
May we never stray from the straight and narrow path...

May you have a plentiful share in His imperishable riches... DKK

Truth is the Banner I Wear

Dorothy,

It is great to hear your voice on Poetry Showcase! Your words cut evil to the quick. The battle brewing in all of us is fighting for our faith. Our faith weaves in and out of our humanity; we all hang by a thread. We need to stay in God's circle; to step outside of God's circle is to be out of season. We should conform to God's laws and know that our God will raise the meek to be first. To define God, we must be on a first name basis with His Son and recognize His Spirit in those that fail, even our mortal enemies. Failure, forgiveness, and humility prepare us to stand favorably in God's sight.

"Let me wear His Truth for the world to see
May the Blood of Jesus strengthen me
For His Kingdom it reigns in you and me
Truth is the banner I wear"

Sister in Christ,

Charity advances from unchangeable - divine Truth...

Kathy,

Thank you for your consistently and assiduously bestowed reflective thoughts. Indeed, an aspirant for undying greatness must possess (or aspire to possess) a truly humble and forgiving heart, for the one who does not sin against his/her neighbor almost never sins against the Creator either, since genuine love of neighbor and of God are inseparable. Nonetheless, grave sins and even habitual venial sins gradually destroy charity. And without charity, the soul is practically dead, while an authentic charitable heart gives life to the soul, and "love covers a multitude of sins."
Let us combat ourselves incessantly for when we declare that what we do is sufficient or adequate enough, we regress, and steadily become consigned to oblivion. May He lead us safely to the fullness of His Truth and Love...

With all blessings and love... DKK

BRAVO to Your Readers!

WOW, again I feel inadequate to give my meager words in appreciation. The poem says it all! It just doesn't get any clearer that this, and you say it so eloquently. I admire your talent to put down in so few words, a lifetime of wisdom. BRAVO, BRAVO, BRAVO to all your readers comments. We couldn't have said it any better.

Tweetie Bird

Bravissimo to former and new readers!

Verily, reading your prudentially and generously written comments on several pieces of "my" work was an outstandingly joyous and heartwarming experience... for which I am both - perpetually grateful and indebted as well... Indeed, as you rightly pointed out "Bravo to all the readers!" Certainly, I shall never be capable of expressing properly my appreciation to all the readers, and especially those who take time and comment on "my" written output. I can only assure you all however, that my frequent response will be - my earnest plea to God in your intentions...

May He bless you with infinite gifts of His Infallible Love... DKK
